Foxhound is at the cutting edge of protected patrol vehicle technology and provides unprecedented levels of blast protection for its size and weight.

After being flown out from RAF Brize Norton in a C-17 aircraft, these patrol vehicles are currently undergoing final testing in the dusty and hot conditions of the Helmand desert before being deployed on operations later in the year.

Foxhound has been specifically designed and built in Britain to protect against the threats our troops face in Afghanistan. However, this is an agile and versatile vehicle that will be a mainstay in the Army for years to come.

Technology has not been such necessary than on Afghanistan, referring to protection by IED and patrolling territory.
This wehicle seem be that adapt either to Afghan’s territorial conformation than to its situation.
But, this is indispensable, it will consent to prevent live treaths and death among warriors.
on phsycological terms it may aid against PTSD, avoiding IEDs effects.

This looks like a vehicle developed in South Africa at least 20 years ago ! Why can’t we learn from others ! We have wasted time and lives.

i have to reassure all the critics, about the cost, the looks, the arrival schedule, and that as i work very closely with the vehicle, that these are worth every penny. they cannot be compared to anything that has come before it. Considering the technology involved, which i cant go any further into, it has arrived in a quick and timely fashion, from conception to design and to bulding and delivery. I also know as an ex forces person, that they will be much appreciated by the troops. i know everyone is dreading the day when they are properly tested in afghanistan, but i have complete faith in the ability of the foxhound. it is a superb example of british design and build quality. The vehicles are also fully adaptable by its modular design to enable it to carry out a variaty of roles, well beyond the current theatre that it is serving. Expect to see these around for a very long time in whatever guise around the world.
