The Telegraph: Musharraf: Why Haqqani terrorist group can help Pakistan

Pakistan’s interests are helped by the support of a feared terrorist group blamed for multiple attacks in neighbouring Afghanistan, former president Pervez Musharraf has suggested.

Mr Musharaff told The Daily Telegraph that it was important for his country to spell out to the world why the Haqqani network was being allowed to operate on its soil.

    operate in its sole is a normal right and aspiration, if right and aspiration are not prevarication.
    Pakistan would have a free confinant Afghanistan or Afghanistan where talibans exert a bad power? Afghanistan is free to operate on its soil, but when we tell of Afghanistan we refer to Afghan people rights, that may not be violated.
    Why Pakistan has not restored people freedom on Afghanistan, avoiding an intervention of world?
    The answer is blowing in the wind.
