From Afghanistan to Congo, Guardian photographer Sean Smith brings us the human face of modern warfare – soldiers and villagers whose lives have been caught in the crossfire. An exhibition of his work is currently on at King's Place in London, to accompany the publication of his new book, Frontlines.
