HERRICK 14 in black and white

May 8, 2011

Over recent weeks, the HERRICK 14 Combat Camera Team (CCT) has been deployed on missions around Afghanistan. During this time, the CCT stills photographer, Sgt Alison Baskerville has captured many fascinating images of the people, places and of the British Forces currently on ops.

There is no over-arching theme for this set of images, other than the fact that in black and white, they provide a dramatic snapshot of life in Afghanistan, as well as a showcase for Sgt Baskerville’s undoubted talent as a photographer.

Click on any of the images below to view the full set on our UK Forces Afghanistan Flickr page.

….in fact, what i meant to put is this.

The Army has gained, not only a talented photographer for H14, but a passionate photojournalist who has built her career and recognition through determination, selflessness, empathy, and the support of those who stop, pause and question what is in front of them. Follow your instinct.
