Chaplains on patrol

To some, patrolling around Afghanistan without a weapon might seem dangerous and somewhat foolish. But for the 10 chaplains attached to 3 Commando Brigade’s units, it is what they do regularly. Despite the obvious dangers, the chaplains spend much of their time travelling around their areas of responsibility, visiting armed forces personnel to check on their welfare, provide a morale boost and someone to talk to in confidence in times of need.

    They are very very brave men, I have experienced the dangerous conditions in Afghanistan myself having visited twice with Sandy Gall. What these men are doing is extremely helpful and selfless.
