Captain Carl Manley dies in Afghanistan

It is with great sadness that the Ministry of Defence must confirm that Captain Carl Manley of the Royal Marines died in Afghanistan on Monday 24 September 2012.
He died at Bagram Air Force Base from what are believed to be natural causes.
Captain Manley, aged 41, was a Royal Marines officer who had served his nation with dedication and courage for more than twenty years.

OUR LOSS HEAVENS GAIN. OUR THOUGHTS ARE WITH HIS FAMILY AT THEIR SAD LOSS OF SUCH A FINE SERVING OFFICER OF THE ROYAL MARINES. HE WILL NOT BE FORGOTTEN. FROM THE MO AND JO TEAM – SOMERSET
so sad for you to leave us ,.after all this time . STAND DOWN . DUTY DONE . RIP another Commando gone ,one of our best gains his angel wings . my thoughts go out to his family, each & every one of you .may God give you comfort in your time of great need .
