Brother and sister working together in Helmand

Siblings Corporal Alan Cheshire, of the Light Dragoons and his sister Corporal Rebecca (Becky) Gwynne, of the Royal military Police
Siblings Corporal Alan Cheshire, of the Light Dragoons and his sister Corporal Rebecca (Becky) Gwynne, of the Royal military Police are serving together in the Brigade Reconnaissance Force (BRF) in Afghanistan’s Helmand Province.
Alan, 24, and Becky, 22, are currently conducting joint operations in Helmand Province. Alan is deployed as a section commander while Becky is carrying out a number of duties in support of her brother’s operations.
Newly-wed Alan, who joined the Army in 2004, has only recently arrived in Afghanistan having completed extensive specialist training which has seen him deploy twice to Kenya and one to Canada on military exercises.
Becky has been deployed in Helmand for the last six months and has conducted numerous operations. As well as being a trained Military Policewoman, she also puts a female face to the mission, which reaps great results with the Afghan female population.

A family for a particular duty, a duty for human rights and freedom defence, a war against sorpruses a war where brothers are not only a terms to design buddies, but a term that indicate a family.
